Need a nursing dress for a wedding!
I am trying to find a nursing dess for my sister-in-law’s wedding. There are not very many places that sell nursing dresses! I found a couple places online, but none of them are really my style. If only J. Crew and Banana made nursing gear… I think I am going to get one I found on Amazon that way it is easy to return if I don’t like it, but that means I am buying clothes from...

Nursing the first month...
Addy is now almost 3 months old and I was thinking about how hard that first month was, and just wanted to share a little bit.  My sweet girl was 6lbs and 13 ounces when she was born.  I never in a million years thought I would give birth to such a tiny little baby.  My husband and I were both 8+ lbs. when we were born and I guess I just assumed I would have a baby about the same size.   Anyway,...

Pumping woes...HELP!
I started pumping after our morning nursing sessions to build up my stores. I pump for five minutes each morning and am normally able to get about 3-5 ounces each time. This worked really well when Adelai was going 3-5 hours between nighttime feedings, but recently she has started going 6-7 hours consistently. I wake up with a drenched shirt and extremely engorged breasts. Addy is an active...

Daycare does not lead to behavior issues! →
Study about daycare verses stay at home kids. Turns out daycare is just as good and parenting has the most to do with how kids turn out.

First Day of Daycare
So I have been putting this post off, mainly because I really don’t have any desire to relive this day, but the rain is really calming, so maybe that will help. Adelai started daycare last Monday, and it was by far my most emotional day yet. I spent the whole morning cuddling with my sweet baby, but felt like I was being followed around by doomsday music. I got her bag packed with extra...

Scarves: the Essential Accessory
I guess it is normal to feel different now that I am a mom. I remember walking into my closet a week after I gave birth thinking I have nothing to wear! Now, I don’t mean that my clothes didn’t fit, I returned to my pre-preggo size quickly, if you don’t count the slight stomach pooch. I mean, that nothing seemed to fit the new me, or the mom me. It could be that I hadn’t...

Note on Pumping Bras
So this morning I was in the middle of my usual morning pumping session (I do a session each day after she eats in the morning to keep my supply up) and I was so thankful for my pumping bra.  I was able to play with my sweet daughter the entire time I was hooked up to the pump.  A good pumping bra is essential for moms who pump. I looked at a couple before I decided on the Pump Ease bra.  You...

First Day of School
So yesterday was my first day back at school. I took 18 hours during the fall to be able to only have to take 11 hours this semester. With so few hours left I was able to set my schedule to only be in class on Monday and Wednesday, and only half the day until spring break. Tony and I had decided that we didn’t want Adelai to start daycare until she was two months old, and in order to...

The birth if my sweet little one
It’s 3 AM and I am in the middle of nursing my sweet baby girl. Today was my first day back to school after giving birth at the end of last semester, and I feel the need to share for some reason. I guess it is because other women’s blogs and stories really helped me to know that it is possible to work, or in my case go to school, and be a nursing Mom. To give some background, my husband...
