Adventures of a Nursing Mom!

Wow, so much has changed in the past month, everyday you can do something new! We are having so much fun watching you grow and change. At your 4 month check-up you weighed in at 17lbs 3oz, and you were 25.5 inches long. You are now wearing 6-9 month clothing only, which is actually a good thing since you didn’t have any summer 3-6 month clothing.

This month you started reaching for toys and pulling them into your mouth. Every time we go for a walk now I have to remember to bring a toy with us. Thankfully Grammy and Papa got you a bunch of toys! You love laying on you playmat and playing with the rings. You played in your exersaucer for the first time, and you were all smiles. I can finally get things done around the house since you are able to entertain yourself for short periods of time.

You love bath time and you are figuring out how to kick the water and splash! The other thing you love is nursing. You look up at me with those gorgeous eyes and my heart melts. Nursing has gotten so much easier now that you are bigger. I don’t need the boppy pillow anymore, which makes everything so much more enjoyable. Your favorite place to nurse is in the glider, and if you are hungry and I sit on the couch you get really upset.

You have reverted back to waking up every 4 hours at night. Mostly you just want to snuggle. The doctor says we need to get you back to sleeping through the night again though. I really am trying, but sometimes it is easier to pick you up and calm you.

Daddy has started playing a game where you walk up his chest and fall back. If you want him to do it again, you kick his chest with your feet until he picks your up again. One time he said he was all done and you got a little mad. I think you threw you first little tantrum. Cutest tantrum ever!

You are such a blessing little one. I am so excited to see what the next month will bring!
