8 months old!!!! Oh how you have changed over the past month. We have been so busy it has taken me 10 days to get a chance to finally write this. You are just blossoming in to a sweet beautiful girl, and I am constantly surprised at what you can do.
Lets see…. you were constantly trying to pull up on Daddy and me so Daddy made you a pull up bar. It took you a day to learn how to pull up at it. After you figured that out it was like you were doing new things every day. A couple days after you learned how to pull up you sat up all by yourself. It was amazing, we were just sitting watching TV and you just sat up like it was nothing. While all of this was going on you were stating to rock on your knees and push yourself backwards. Then at the beginning of the last week of July you started to crawl! So know you are getting all over the place.
You had your first 4th of July and we kept you up late to see the fireworks at the lake. It was so worth it to see the look on your face as they lit up the sky. You had that look of wonder that can only be seen on a baby. Daddy took some time off of work that week and you were soo happy to have him around.
You were baptized on July 8th. Uncle Brad and Aunt Jessica came in from Lubbock, and Grammy and Papa were there too. Also, Mama Lupita, Tio Mark, Tia Isolda, and Sienna came up too! Your Godparents Matt and Emily flew in from Phoenix! It was such a fun weekend. The Friday when every body came in you were diagnosed with bilateral ear infections. I felt so bad that I hadn’t caught it earlier, but you are such a strong kid you are never very fussy, even if something hurts.
You are becoming a seasoned flyer. We made the trip up to Michigan for the Smith family reunion. You got to meet all of my extended family, as well as your great grandparents. You had tons of fun playing with everyone.
You are officially 8 months old and still not taking solids. We tried having the girls at daycare try and feed you and they had no success either. You just don’t seem interested in food of any kind. So I am still your sole source of nutrition. You nurse every two hours or less right now since we are trying to get you to sleep better at night.
You are changing too fast, and I just want you to slow down a little bit. I love you so much baby girl.
